Sanderson Wallpapers continue the theme of timeless classics. Caverley Papers is a collection of nine wallpapers that complement the printed fabrics of the same name. Palampore, Porcelain Garden, Adele, Mauritius, and Aesops Fables are all gravure printed whilst Midsummer Rose is surface printed. These six designs are all taken directly from the printed designs, in addition to which there are three further coordinating wallpapers by Sanderson. Palampore is a fantastically beautiful trailing design which depicts a personal journey through life symbolised by elaborate and mystical flowers sprouting from a tree trunk and is based on an Indian Tree of Life gravure printed wallpaper design inspired by a document fragment that dates from between 1730-70. The collection is not just about florals however Aesops Fables is a Toile De Jouy taken from a design found in Mulhouse, France, dating back to the 19th century it can also be found in the Sanderson One Sixty Collection. As can Porcelain Garden a stunning wide-width trailing wallpaper shows peony blossoms and birds painted in soft watercolours and pastels, inspired by designs of early 19th century hand-painted Chinese wallpapers.
