Satinwood or satin paints offer a soft sheen or low sheen finish for interior woods and metals.
Satinwood finishes fall between matt and gloss finishes offering a subtle sheen but not quite a shine. They offer a similar finish to silk emulsion wall paint.
They should be slightly more durable than matt or flat matt paints making them a good choice for kitchens, bathrooms and high traffic areas.
Their slightly glossy appearance tends to highlight surface imperfections more than flatter paints, but brush strokes may be visible if the surface has not been correctly prepared or the paint is not carefully applied.
