A made-to-measure headboard can change the proportions and character of a bedroom. The size, outline, fabric and upholstery finish can all be considered together so the finished piece feels connected to the bed and the wider room rather than added as an afterthought.
Start with one of our established headboard shapes or use them as a point of reference for something more individual. Then choose a fabric, decide whether a standard or custom size is right for the room and select the finish that best suits the design.
The same fabric can also be carried into curtains, Roman blinds or cushions where you want a more coordinated scheme.

Custom size
Need a different width, height or proportion? Choose the custom-size route and tell us what the room requires. Custom sizing is particularly useful for unusually wide beds, taller statement headboards or projects where the finished dimensions need to respond to surrounding furniture, sockets, lighting or architectural details.

A simple upholstered finish where the piping cleanly defines the headboard shape.
Finishes can be combined with the shape and fabric. Not every treatment is appropriate for every fabric or headboard profile, so we can help confirm what will work before manufacture.

The fabric can make a headboard quiet and architectural or turn it into the focal point of the room. TM Interiors gives you access to a much wider designer-fabric collection than a conventional headboard range, including linens, velvets, plains, textures, prints and performance upholstery fabrics.
For a headboard, consider how the pattern will sit across the shape, how the scale works at the finished width and whether the fabric is appropriate for upholstery. A sample is particularly useful for judging colour and texture alongside bedding, flooring and wall finishes.

Mounting & specification
Consider how the headboard will sit before it is made
Our headboards can be specified for wall mounting or bed-frame mounting. The right approach depends on the bed, finished height, room layout and the way you want the headboard to relate to the mattress and wall.
Custom sizing also lets you respond to bedside lighting, sockets, switches, wall panelling and other architectural details rather than forcing the room around a standard headboard.

Can you make a headboard to a custom size?
Yes. In addition to the standard and short sizes in the headboard builder, a custom-size specification can be discussed where you need a different width, height or overall proportion.
What standard headboard sizes do you offer?
The current builder includes Single, Double, King, Super King and Giant widths at a standard 100 cm height, together with 70 cm short versions of the same widths.
Can I choose my own fabric?
Yes. The service is designed around choosing a suitable upholstery fabric from the wider TM Interiors collection. If you already have a fabric in mind, we can help check suitability for the headboard shape and finish.
Can I order a fabric sample first?
Where sampling is available, we recommend seeing the fabric in the room before finalising the headboard. This is particularly useful for judging colour, texture and the scale of patterned fabrics.
What headboard shapes are available?
The established collection includes Moscow, London, Milan, Paris, Rome, New York, Hampton and Athens. Alternative profiles or proportions can also be discussed for suitable custom projects.
What finishes can I choose?

Can the headboard be wall mounted?
