Hand tufted rugs are another great luxury rug choice, although they share a similar name to hand knotted rugs they have a completely different manufacturing process. The tufts of wool are punched into a canvas stretched over a frame before a backing fabric and any embellishments are atttached.
Hand tufted rugs are typically harder wearing than hand knotted rugs and as they are traditionally made from wook they will have some natural stain resistance.
