In the Morris and Co Archive Archive II wallpapers range the Morris legacy continues moving forward with Sanderson and Morris & Co. producing authentic versions of his original designs alongside fresh interpretations, using innovative print techniques to create wallpapers with timeless appeal. Designs have been updated and tweaked but with new versions of classic designs like the fabulous Acanthus designed by Morris in 1874 is one of his most instantly recognisable designs and marks the beginning of a period in which Morris created large-scale designs for wallpaper. Strawberry Thief, is also reworked and reproduced in wallpaper for the first time it became one of the most popular designs for fabric and for the first time it is now available as a wallpaper in colours to co-ordinate. Bird & Pomegranate, available in four colourways was one of the last block printed wallpapers designed by Morris & Co, and although unattributed it was probably the creation of J.H. Dearle and inspired by the much earlier Fruit wallpaper. Leicester is another super design in the same vein as Acanthus this Morris wallpaper was designed as a block printed paper by John Henry Dearle in 1912, but was actually inspired by Morris earlier design Bachelors Button of 1892 Leicester evokes the romance of the mediaeval past that so inspired Morris.
