Boucle Fabric

A classic boucle fabric features a surface texture which is a nubby textile made from a yarn of, fittingly, curled fibres. The name is derived from the French word meaning curled or ringed, and it is made from a series of looped fibres. The most common fibre to undergo the technique would be Wool, though these days cotton, linen, and silk have also been used for achieving the textured hand of said fabric. This style of fabric is often used as a boucle upholstery fabric.
