Zimmer + Rohde Selection Fabrics
Selection, the new collection from Zimmer + Rohde, a relatively scaled down selection of fabrics, but ultimately stands for subtle elegance and hand-picked quality pieces that are made using elaborate production processes. Standout designs from the range are for Diary is a high-quality cotton satin fabric features a diamond-shape appliqué that is reminiscent of tribal prints, which is then finished with elaborate stitching. Ivory felt diamonds are individually cut using a laser cutter and are appliquéd onto a single-colour dry linen fabric so two natural materials are interwoven and finished through a complex process. Poetry is interesting as to achieve the look the satin surface of the cotton fabric undergoes two stages of finishing. First, the base fabric is adorned with dense embroidery, and second, this embroidery is embellished with a large number of sequins to create this modern look and feel. The range features a number of neutrals, semi plains, check and stripes such as the check of Paros essentially an upholstery fabric which is an attractive, lavish Chenille check that captivates with its great quality and a pleasant, soft feel. The stripe of Pepe which is another chenille fabric, and also stands out, with its horizontal stripes that plays with the contrast between various colours and a fine rep structure.
