Blendworth Avania Fabrics
The Avania collection is a range of dual-purpose, cotton prints that feature a diverse selection of hand-painted floral designs. Wild meadow flowers in painterly watercolour arrangements sit alongside detailed ink drawings of tulip and chrysanthemum trails, inspired by still life master painters of the Dutch Golden Age. Large-scale impasto paintings of stylised flower heads appear like oil paintings on textured cotton canvases, as displayed on their splendid Lillie Fabric pattern. Traditional floral prints, originally found in the Blendworth archives, have been modernized and printed on satin for a clean, contemporary finish. Avania's floral fabrics are complemented by a decorative fretwork design, inspired by elegant garden trellises, perfect as a co-ordinate, yet pretty. Colour palettes range from fresh, summery bright and chalky pastels to rich shades of oxblood and deep purple.
