  1. First check whether the roles all have the same reference and batch number.
  2. Always read the instructions that are included all the wallcovering.
  3. Roll the wallcovering out with the printed side up and check for possible mistakes.
  4. Before you start make sure the wall is prepared wall must be dry clean slightly absorbent and smooth.
  5. Determine the place where you will start.
  6. This is the second drop from a corner, therefore calculate the width of the wallcovering and deduct 2 cm in this case 68 cm.
  7. Draw a perpendicular line where you're going to start.
  8. Measure the height of the wall.
  9. Cut the drops to length and always allowed 10 cm extra
  10. Mark the top of each drop.
  11. All drops must hang in the same direction unless the instructions state otherwise.
  12. Dissolve the adhesive pad of a heavy wallcovering in the correct amount of water.
  13. Follow the instructions on the package of the adhesive.
  14. While stirring add 20% PVA adhesive this is a ready-made wallcovering adhesive.
  15. Always lay the drop even with the edge of the table this avoids getting adhesive smudges on the table.
  16. Spread the adhesive evenly on the drop using an adhesive brush.
  17. Fold the ends towards the middle of the drop.
  18. Place the edges perfectly together so the adhesive of the sides does not dry out.
  19. Roll the drop.
  20. Let the adhesive soak, respect the soaking time stated on the label.
  21. After soaking the drop is expanded to its maximum width.
  22. Open the top piece of the drop place it carefully against the perpendicular line on the wall.
  23. Gently press the drop with a rubber roller.
  24. Open the bottom part.
  25. Now press the whole drop.
  26. Work from the middle to the sides.
  27. Use a corner roller, or a spatula to finish off at the ceiling and the baseboard.
  28. Cut off the excess at the top and bottom with a sharp snap off knife and with the help of a spatula.
  29. For each cut use a new piece of the snap off knife.Take the second drop and place it against the edge of the first drop.
  30. Press the drop with a rubber roller.
  31. Press on the seam, with a seam roller.
  32. Press on the corners with the help of a corner roller or a spatula.
  33. Cut off the excess at the ceiling, the baseboard, and in the corner.
  34. Always place the knife against the spatula on the side of the excess.
  35. Finish of the third drop in the same way.
  36. Clean the ceiling and the baseboard.
  37. If you're using washable wallcovering also clean the drops completely with a sponge and cold water.
  38. After three drops check the results.
  39. Finish the wall.
  40. Draw a perpendicular line on the other side of the corner.
  41. Again slightly less wide than the width of the corner drop.
  42. Finish off the drop in the same way as the previous drops.
  43. Remove the excess again in the corner.
  44. Clean the corner with cold water.
  45. Finish the whole room in this way.

Again to reiterate there are various methods when it comes to how to hang wallpaper and it really does depend on the type of wallcovering you are hanging ie. is it paper backed, or is it a non-woven wallpaper, or is it a textured wallpaper or textile wallcovering which will have a bearing on what method you apply.
