How To Hang 3d Wallpaper Video Guide

Welcome in this video Arte wallpapers will show you how to hang 3d wallpaper, a textured wallcovering, with a non-woven backing. 3d textured wallcoverings on nonwoven backing are very bold and are therefore often used for feature walls, however 3d wallpaper for home is on the rise, due to some of the spectacular designs, and it is being used more and more all over the home such as 3d wallpaper for living rooms, and 3d wallpaper for bedrooms. In this video, first Arte will show you how to paper one wall, then for those who want to use it on more than one wall a few wallpaper tips and tricks are given for finishing inner and outer corners, i.e. how to wallpaper corners. 

1. Before you start the wall must be dry, smooth, slightly absorbent and clean.
2. Always check the batch number and the reference number of the wallcovering.
3. Carefully opened the box read the provided hanging instructions.
4. Arte wallpaper boxes are made in such a way that you can use it as a un-rolling device.
5. Roll out the wallcovering on a clean surface with a design facing up.
6. Check whether everything is as it should be.
7. Find the centre of the wall.
8. Use a small strip wallcovering to define how to divide the drops most symmetrically along the wall.
9. It's possible the two drops will meet at the centre of the wall.
10. Another option is to have the centre of the wall beneath the middle drop.
11. Draw a perpendicular line where the side edge of the first drop will be.
12. Measure the height of the wall.
13. Cut the required drops to length and always add 10 extra centimetres.
14. You must of course also take the pattern into consideration.
15. All the drops must hang in the same direction unless the instructions state otherwise.
16. Mark the top end of each drop on the back.
17. Use Arte clear pro or another high quality adhesive.
18. Stir the adhesive well, pour it into a bucket.
19. Use a brush to paste the wall near the ceiling the skirting board.
20. Continue with a microfibre roller, and patse one drop wide +10 extra centimetres.
21. The adhesive must be applied evenly.
22. Take the first drop and make sure that the marked top goes to the top of the wall.
23. Carefully put the wallcovering on the adhesive and move it into a straight position using your vertical line as a guide leaving a few extra centimetres at the bottom and top.
24. Avoid getting adhesive stains on the front.
25. Use a rubber roller to press the wallcovering to the wall.
26. Work from the middle to the sides.
27. Make sure to press the wallcovering firmly at the skirting board and the ceiling using a caller roller or a spatula.
28. Cut off the excess using a sharp snap off knife and a spatula.
29. For each cut use a new piece of the snap off knife.
30. After hugging each drop clean the ceiling and the skirting board.
31. Cover the wallcovering so it stays dry and clean.
32. Paste the next section of the wall.
33. Carefully put the second drop in the adhesive and position it against the first one.
34. Firmly press the drop to the wall.
35. You can use a seam roller for the seam but avoid squeezing paste out of the joint.
36. Once again cut off the excess at the top and bottom.
37. For drops on the corner you paste the wall up to the corner, use a brush in the corner.
38. Continue working in the same way.
39. Position the drop in the adhesive against the previous one.
40. Pressing firmly and cut off the excess at the top and bottom.
41. Press the wallcovering firmly in the corner with a corner roller.
42. Cut off the excess piece always cut against the spatula on the side of the excess.
43. After three drops examine the result.
44. Now you can finish the whole wall.

How To Wallpaper corners

Inner Corner: 

1. For an inner corner the drop should overlap the adjoining wall.
2. Measure where the drop will end.
3. Draw a perpendicular line at this point.
4. Paste the wall on both sides of the corner.
5. Paste the second wall a little further than the vertical line.
6. Use a brush in the corner.
7. Position the drop in the adhesive against the previous one.
8. Do not cut it off the corner but let the drop overlap the adjoining wall.
9. Press it firmly into the corner with a spatula.
10. The wallcovering is slightly elastic if the corner is not exactly straight you can correct this by gently pushing the wallcovering to the vertical line.
11. Once again cut off the excess pieces at the top and bottom.

Outer Corner:

1. For an outer corner you also first measure where the drop will end.
2. At this point draw a perpendicular line.
3. First apply a thin layer of adhesive to the corner.
4. Let it dry slightly and then paste the wall a little further than the plumb line.
5. Position the drop against the previous one.
6. Make a small incision of the corner at the top and the bottom.
7. Nicely fold the drop around the corner.
8. If the corner is not exactly straight you can correct that by gently pushing the wallcovering to the vertical line.
9. As usual press the drop firmly also in the corner.
10. Once again remove the excess pieces of the top and bottom.  
11. Now you can finish the whole wall.
