Osborne and Little Sketchbook Fabrics
A fine modern collection of designs from Osborne and Little in the AW of 2019 where an artist's hand-drawn studies of flora and fauna are the complete inspiration for this collection of glamorous woven and embroidered sheers, and jacquard weave draperies. Reedbirds features small birds that flutter and perch amongst riverbed reeds on an elegant silk and linen mix jacquard weave. While Caracal is a fabulous mid-scale animal jacquard is woven with contrasting linen and high-shine yarns, that has the textural feline markings ombré across the fabric and works equally well as curtains and or cushions. The leaf design of Sycamore has leaves that are embroidered in a sketch-like manner on a sheer linen ground to great effect. The title fabric Sketchbook has Chrysanthemums, trumpet flower heads, leaves and seed pods that are embroidered with thick and thin yarns on a sheer linen ground with a delicate slub. The colour palette for these designs looks to nature and includes duck egg, eau-de-nil, leaf green, silver and bronze.
