Introducing Antilles Fabrics by Anna French
We take a look at the Antilles collection of fabrics and wallapers from Anna French. The collection is an exciting mix of 18th Century French Provincial deisgns and brightly coloured motifs from India. The collection is unitfied through its colour palette, with a fresh and vibrant mix of indigo blues, bright reds, lively greens, chocolate browns and blush pinks. Overall the collection has a bright and uplifting vibrancy.
Antilles Toile
Antilles Toile from which the collection takes its name is a beautiful toile fabric design in the classic French style. It is available in four colourways as both a fabric and a wallpaper. The colourways include a bright leaf green, indigo, chocolate brown and a paler spa blue.
Cornwall
The Cornwall fabric and wallpapers features a paisleyesque desgin overlayed with a delicate floral design. The result is a pattern which fills a room without being overbearing.
Indienne Hazel
The Indienne Hazel design follows the tradition of earlier Indienne printed textiles combining influences from both Europe and India to create a trailing pattern of hazel leaves and flowers. The wallpaper and matching fabric are each available in six colourways, ranging from a strong and vibrant blue and red to a delicate blush pink.
Fern Stripe
Fern Stripe takes its name from the printed fern leaves arranged either side of a contrasting coloured stripe. This is a refreshing twist on a striped fabric or wallpaper with the added interest of the ferns bringing a freshness to the overall appearance.
Westmont
the floral design in Westmont has been scaled up to give a more modern feel to an otherwise traditional design. The added scale brings the print to life and makes for a bold and dramatic design. The fabric and wallpaper are available in 6 colourways.
Two other patterns worthy of mention include the Javanese Stripe and the Milford. Javanese Stripe has a distinctly contemporary feel due to the scaled up size of the design, whilst the Milford fabric and wallpaper retain a more traditional look with its neatly arranged flower motif.
