Decorex 2021

Decorex 2021

A celebration of design, and luxury interiors, with Decorex 2021, including look at the latest designer wallpaper and luxury fabric collections from exhibitors including Ian Mankin, Liberty, Little Greene, Linwood, Moon, Omexco, Warwick Fabrics, and Wemyss Fabrics.

Decorex 2021 - 10-13 Oct

This week is Decorex, one of the most exciting events in the interior design calendar. Now in its 43rd year, Decorex has been uniting designers for almost as long as we have been providing interior design services and supplying luxury furnishings. Decorex, held annually at London Olympia, is a chance to meet new and emerging brands and designers, to see the latest from luxury interiors brands, and a chance for interior designers to share ideas and be inspired.

Future Heritage

The Future Heritage part of the exhibition provides a showcase platform for up-and-coming and established British talent from the world of craft, this year ten emerging designers have been chosen to create new, one-off craft pieces to be exhibited at Decorex, including Kate Maestri, who is showcasing hand painted glass screens for the domestic interiors, and sculptor Anna Ray, who is exhibiting two existing works and creating three large wall hangings/screens, along with two existing works made from her stuffed hand-painted and digitally printed textiles. One of the new works will be part-made live at Decorex.

Event Highlights

If you are attending the event, two top picks from our interior designers are the live art installation from London based artist Jan Erika, and the panel talk from Surface Print (New Adventures in Wallpaper Design). Luxury wallpaper manufacturers, Surface Print, are the manufacturers behind many of your favourite designer wallpaper brands (Designers Guild, Prestigious Textiles, Thibaut, Neisha Crossland, Blendworth, Little Greene and more). This talk will provide some behind the scenes insight into the manufacturing process, the different printing techniques, and developments towards improving sustainability.

Environmentally aware design and manufacturing is the most important interior design trend of the moment, and there is now a huge selection of eco-friendly fabrics and sustainable wallpaper collections available with unsurpassed quality and style. Recent fabulous sustainable collections include the wonderfully luxurious and stylish Natecru fabric collection from Pierre Frey, which includes a mix of organic cotton, locally produced wools and linens, recycled polyester or cashmere, all woven in France, and the soft but stain resistant upholstery range, Terra Firma, from Osborne and Little, a collection of semi-plain weaves made from recycled polyester and organic cotton.
