A Look at the Larkana Fabrics Collection from Nina Campbell
Nina Campbell's Sping 2021 collection for Osborne & Little was 18 months in the making and saw the launch of three mini-collections Larkana, Parvani and Baroda collections. All three colletions feature Nina's signature palette as well as introducing some new colour combinations. Each collection compliments the other creating great versatility. In this blog we take a look at the Larkana fabrics, a collection of versatile collection of small-scale weave designs for upholstery.
Sarangi is a richly coloured and beatuiful woven chenille. Sarangi looks fabulous on an armchair, but it is guaranteed to add both luxury and style to any upholstery. The chenille is woven to form a ribbon of squares and the multiple colours in each of the 5 different colourways allow for the fabric to be paired with any of the other fabrics in both the Parvani and Baroda collections. This truly is a versatile fabric, you can change the look and feel of it by swapping cushions, with different fabrics picking up on whichever of the colours in the design you choose.
Garadi is one of a trio of weaves in the Larkana collection, it features a multi-coloured basket-weave design woven in a variety of textured yarns. The effect is a really interesting weave with lots of colours making it an incredibly adaptable fabric which can be used practically anywhere to bring out and enhance a colour scheme.
Nina picked up on an earlier desgin of a wallpaper to create the Bansur print. The design is a stripe, resembling a picot braid, woven in colour against a neutral ground. It is available in 5 colourways including a warm ochre, a fresh apple green, indigo, teal and charcoal all set against a neutral bone base colour.
The Larkana Plain fabric has the appearace of a plain weave but is made more interesting with a textured criss-cross pattern. The woven texture and thread give a light sheen in different lights without being shiny, making it perfect for curtains as well as furniture. Larkana Plain fabric is available in 5 colourways including a beautiful coral and a fresh green.
The Lavani fabric completes the Larkan mini collection from Nina Campbell. The Lavani deesign features a design of contrasting coloured spots in a grid formation on a linen blend fabric offering a lighter fabric than the chenille weaves in the collection. The use of Nina's signature colours again means it tones in well with the other fabrics in the Spring 2021 collection. Lavani is available in 7 diferent colour ways including those shown below as well as a teal with burnt orange, coral paired with chocolate brown as well as green and indigo, in each case all with a bone coloured base.
This collection of small weaves from Nina Campbell are perfect for upholstery fabric projects and pair perfectly with the other 2021 fabric collections from Nina Campbell. The excellent blend of colours ensure they will work in any colour scheme.
