Although Le Corbusier died more than half a century ago, the work of this designer and architect is still ultramodern today. Under the label Arte Le Corbusier Wallcoverings we provide design wallpaper that is inspired by the entire oeuvre of the grand master. Arte wallpapers utilise new techniques and materials to transform his progressive designs into a unique wallcovering collection with a contemporary look & feel, while remaining true to his unique philosophy.

Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris (1887-1965), better known as Le Corbusier, was a Swiss-French architect who is considered to be one of the most important founders of modernism. He was way ahead of his time and designed buildings that were adapted both to the residents and to the environs. Le Corbusier was a creative centipede. In addition to his many architectural jewels, he also made impressive furniture and wallpaper designs such as Squares and Unity. He is also known because of his architectural colour palette, 'Polychromie architecturale'. Since 1968 (a few years after his death) La Fondation Le Corbusier in Paris protects and manages the heritage of the famous architect, designer and artist. Les Couleurs Suisse AG obtained from La Fondation Le Corbusier the worldwide assignment and the exclusive rights to protect and promote his unique 'Polychromie architecturale' colour palette. All collections under the label Arte Le Corbusier Wallcoverings are created in close collaboration with both organisations.
