The latest Morris and Co Queen Square fabric collection for the brand is a new collaboration with the renowned architect and interior designer Ben Pentreath’s, and the designs come filled with colour and iconic pattern. In keeping with the brands ideals The Queen Square collection is named after the street that housed the Morris & Co. factory and showroom, and is a seamless meeting of minds between Morris and Co fabrics and one of the country’s most sought after interior designers at this time. William Morris fabrics are designed from a place of appreciation and understanding and with a love of the English countryside and the beauty that surrounds us, this collection showcases the longevity of expertly crafted design, filling our hopes and hearts with positivity. Many of these are ideal for use as William Morris curtain fabrics and patterns that really stand out to us include the reworking of Vine from 1874 which depicts bunches of grapes and scrolling branches placed on a background of foliage, pops of colour contrast against the base colours, to create this contemporary interpretation with a slight heritage feel and which looks stunning on furniture. Honeysuckle actually designed by William Morris daughter, May, in 1883 is also another favourite a screen printed on a cotton/linen blend and reproduced for the Queen Square collection in two new colourways that marvellously displays a realistic arrangement of rambling flowers and entwining leaves. Taking the gloves off Marigold from 1875 is hugely versatile, a morris fabric design that is at ease in any part of the home it also looks beautiful on cushions, blinds or chairs, so if your seeking a William Morris Upholstery fabric this maybe the collection for you. Ben Pentreath was delighted to be let loose in the Morris & Co. archive and they have taken many original patterns, and recoloured them in a palette of my favourite colours, to cast his designs in a completely new light, so if your interior design style is eclectic country or your just looking too add some rural warmth to your home then buy online at TM Interiors Limited.
