Best wallpapers

wallpapers? Well that's not for us to tell you, we are sure you can decide that, and your perhaps on your way searching online through the enormous selection of designer wallpapers when looking for feature wallpaper ideas or living room wallpaper. What we can do though is give you a quick glimpse into some of the wallpapers launched from this year we think are worthy of some limelight. As always there perhaps too many to mention, judging by the huge choice of designer wallpapers, and it is always down to personal taste, so please don't take our word for what is fashionable or trendy, we just observer and appreciate good design, and so these are not the best wallpapers but well,.... we think they are good enough. [ezcol_1third]matthew-williamson-samana-wallpapers-osborne-and-little-test[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end] A new collection, and the second in a series, just launched by Matthew Williamson for Osborne and Little, and seems good enough for us. It is the fashion designers Samana wallpapers, a follow up from the Eden fabric and wallpaper collection which contains eight designs and for us three really stand out. We hear he is contracted for another two collections for Osborne and Little , so we are sure to be seeing more from him in the future for the great brand, and can't wait.[/ezcol_2third_end] Of course Bird of Paradise is going to be the talking point of the collection following on from Sunbird in the Eden wallpapers collection, and with bird wallpaper you either love it or hate it, so we are told, but we don't mind it, and we like the style of this even though it is a very condensed pattern. [ezcol_1third]matthew-williamson-bird-of-paradise-wallpaper[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]matthew-williamson-bird-of-paradise[/ezcol_2third_end] The collection features wallpapers with beads and metallic highlights but for us, next up is the holographic paper of Mustique. Gemstones printed in glittering holographic and if you like his Tyger Tyger wallpaper from the Eden collection then you should like this style. matthew-williamson-mustique-wallpaper-osborne-and-little [ezcol_1half]matthew-williamson-mustique-wallpaper-W6657-01[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]matthew-williamson-mustique-wallpaper-W6657-02[/ezcol_1half_end] One of the wallpapers from the collection, and true it is maybe not his best wallpaper, is the Latania design that displays a distressed paisley, but we still love it all the same. [ezcol_1half]matthew-willamson-latania-wallpaper-w6653-01[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]matthew-williamson-wallpaper-latania[/ezcol_1half_end] On the distressed look, almost bohemian, faded country house style that is seeing a resurgence this year, is a great wallpaper from Carl Robinson that has we feel alot more visual depth (and therefore at a price) than the Latina by Matthew Williamson. This one though is a distressed, or faded, damask wallpaper. carl-robinson-faded-damask-wallpaper-edition-9 [ezcol_1half]carl-robinson-edition9-wallpaper[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]carl-robinson-luxury-wallpaper[/ezcol_1half_end] Textured wallpapers have been big this year in the UK with many companies launching or having some form of texture within their collections. Harlequin released there Anthology 01 wallpapers and while there are many good wall coverings inside we like Seri which is a textured design that resembles grasscloth, with all its naturally-occurring characteristics and imperfections. [ezcol_1half]harlequin-anthology-01-seri-in-slate[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]harlequin-anthology-01-seri-wallpaper[/ezcol_1half_end] harlequin-anthology-01-seri Harlequin Anthology 02 also have Stucco which takes different surface elements such as wood and metal, layered together to create a distressed texture, and striped wallpaper motif that can be used either vertically or horizontally and will make a feature of a wall. [ezcol_1half]harlequin-anthology-02-stucco-in-walnut[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]harlequin-anthology-02-stucco-in-sandstone[/ezcol_1half_end] [ezcol_1half]harlequin-wallpaper-anthology-01-stucco-110749[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]stucco-wallpaper-harlequin-anthology[/ezcol_1half_end] Patola is also similar, another intriguing look and textured wallpaper, from Designer Guild, with its modern take on woodgrain. Wood effect wallaper being another style that has been referenced across many textured wallpaper collections. [ezcol_1third]patola-wallpaper-designers-guild[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]patola-graphite-wallpaper-designers-guild[/ezcol_2third_end] Romo Black Edition while not textured have a similar look going on with their Viridis wallcovering. viridis-wallcovering-romo-black But back to talking of textured wallpapers Designers Guild big flower wallpaper Mattiazzo with its filtered almost stained glass, or mesh look, is another engaging wallpaper, available as both a wallpaper and velvet upholstery fabric. It is seen here featured in the Australian issue of Belle Magazine, alongside a close up of the book, and which you will probably have noticed it featured in the John Lewis Home catalogue this year. [ezcol_1half]designers-guild-mattiazzo-wallpaper[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]mattiazzo-cobalt-wallpaper-designers-guild[/ezcol_1half_end] As luxury wallpapers and luxury in general for home decor has become a theme this year, another texture, flock wallpaper, has been seeing a resurgence also in popularity. The Romo Black Edition label move things forward from their Byzatine and Jackson flock wallpaper in their Xanthina collection in 2013, to their Zelva flock wallcovering in Astratto in 2014. A bold abstract textured flock wallcovering not for the faint hearted. romo-black-edition-zelva-flock-wallpaper-astratto-wallcoverings [ezcol_1half]abstract-flock-wallpaper-romo-black-zelva[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]orange-flock-wallpaper-romo-black-zelva[/ezcol_1half_end] As it's Halloween and we feel like it will keep the next few shots in the family of orange. So one of Romo fabrics other labels Zinc textiles in their Glamorama wallcovering range put out their Oscar flock which is the classic houndstooth design that has been seen repeating itself in fashion, and on designer fabrics and wallcoverings of late, and never to go out of fashion. orange-flock-wallpaper-zinc-textiles-oscar The Glamorama wallpapers also contain the brilliant Halston flock wallpaper by Zinc which features square design on a glistening textured background. [ezcol_1half]zinc-halston-flock-wallpaper[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]zinc-textiles-flock-wallpaper[/ezcol_1half_end] Other flock wallpapers worthy of inclusion this year are from Eijffinger wallpapers and their Yasmin collection. [ezcol_1half]eijffinger-yasmin-flock-wallpaper-3414703[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]flock-wallpaper-yasmin-341703[/ezcol_1half_end] Please forgive us we can't recall if the surround wallcovering collection from Zinc was this year or last, but we couldn't go without mentioning their marble inspired digital printed wallcoverings that you will have no doubt seen quality interior designers using on their interior design projects. Their bloomin Marbelous wallpaper and Anguilla are stunning. [ezcol_1half]zinc-texiles-marbleous[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]zinc-wallcoverings-anguilla[/ezcol_1half_end] We would just like to quickly mention large scale flower wallpaper that has been popular of late, just as Designers Guild did with their grungy Mattiazzo wallpaper, Zoffany on the flip side produce an elequent large floral painted wallpaper from the Zoffany Woodville wallpaper collection by the name of Phoebe. [ezcol_1half]zoffany-woodville-wallpapers[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]zoffany-wallpaper-phoebe-woodville[/ezcol_1half_end] Large painterly floral, or flower wallpaper, can be seen repeated through other brands like Carl Robinson, Eijffinger and Romo Black as well as many others. We know these types of wallpapers have always been around but can't help notice the use of scaled up designs. [ezcol_1third]carl-robinson-wallpaper-wallquest[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_1third]muse-wallpaper-eijffinger[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_1third_end]romo-black-edition-luiza-wallcovering[/ezcol_1third_end] So certainly by no means an archive of the best wallpapers around just some personal choices here at TM Interiors Limited, we hope you have enjoyed the selection. We have not included all that we wanted so we will be following up probably with part 2 soon...
