Christian Lacroix fabric Soft Jardin Exo’chic
We spent a day recently as part of our made to measure curtain services working with a Christian Lacroix fabric Soft Jadin Exo Chic Bougainvillier fabric from his Belle Rives collection from last year, and thought why not write about it, someone may find some use from it, and seeing the fabric in context can help sometimes, to make informed choices.
If your unsure of who Christian Lacroix is, and the House of Lacroix, well he is perhaps better known for his fashion label, but Designers Guild launched his home range of designer fabrics and wallpaper back in 2011.
Since then his collections have inspired us, and other interior designers, and this fabric sure adds another dimension to a room with its large scale palm print. It follows quite a popular tropical, african, almost jungle, theme right now in the world of designer fabrics.
Look to the french fabric brands of Pierre Frey and there Origines collection, aswell as Elitis Out Of Africa soon to be launched at this years Paris Deco Off in January 2015.
While last year we saw some of this tropical/african theme from the likes of Matthew Williamson Osborne and Little, in particular Jungle Beat, and also GP and J Baker with their Langdale fabric and wallpaper collection we reviewed here.
We won’t pretend to know too much about the man, but to say like Matthew Williamson for Osborne and Little he lives in the World of Fashion, and his eccentric designs translates well onto designer fabrics.
Anyway back in the workroom as part of our made to measure curtains service we produced this rather unique eyelet door curtain for a client in London when the Belles Rives collection first came out. It was produced in the printed cotton satin version of the design and while ideal for designer furniture it made a great eyelet door curtain.
Incidentally if you are looking for printed velvet fabric for curtains or upholstery then consider another blog on printed velvet with a roundup of a few including Zoffany fabrics, Mulberry fabrics, Romo Black, Andrew Martin fabrics, and others.
This time we have used the Soft Jadin Exo Chic Bougainvillier FCL039/02 which is the linen version.
A client of ours from London requested our experienced made to measure curtain services to craft this expensive designer fabric into a roman blind and pair of bespoke cushions.
We of course obliged and created a roman blind from our in-house workroom right next door to our design studio, and as always we took great care in making this hand sewn designer roman blind, achieving a good pattern match, and of course assembling the blind and roman blind track in-house, before hanging and then pressing prior to dispatch.
As requested and an added bonus for the customer from the waste of the fabric we created a pair of bespoke cushions.
We say bespoke cushion, I mean they are fairly standard but with the over scale size of the design it meant despite not having a great deal of waste from the roman blind we were able to piece together some covers and finish these bespoke cushions with hidden zip.
The left over fabric and large scale nature of the pattern created some interesting random sides to each cushion.
So if your searching for a company that can produce quality roman blinds online please consider our made to measure curtains service were we can take any designer fabric and shape into something for your home interiors.
We are by no means perfect but as a family business we do value your business and try to give the best service and finished product.
Here is a recent review submitted by Mrs Martinez:
Outstanding service and quality.
TM interiors fitted black out blinds and curtains in my house. The fabrics I used for the curtains were delicate and difficult to work with as some had metal strings. They did an impeccable job!
The job was complex, but they went above and beyond to deliver an outstanding service, from the consultation to the final product. I am ever so grateful and can only recommend them!
